Welcome to The Library, which includes postings and articles on titles and topics of interest to the thoughtful brother.
Athough I have received the Third Degree, I am but a neophyte in the Craft. It is my own opinion that all Freemasons should naturally be Students in the Renaissance meaning of the term, always seeking the Light including many fascinating subjects involving our fraternity. Following is a list of the titles in my own small but growing library as I seek to advance my own personal Masonic Education. This is just a starting point for me:
- The Holy Bible, Master Mason Edition (Heirloom Press)
- Duncan’s Ritual of Freemasonry (Duncan)
- The Freemasons: An Illustrated Book of an Ancient Brotherhood (Johnstone)
- Freemasonry and its Ancient Mystic Rites (Leadbeater)
- The History of Freemasonry (Mackey)
- Lexicon of Freemasonry (Mackey)
- A Dictionary of Freemasonry (Macoy)
- The Builders: A Story and Study of Freemasonry (Newton)
- American Freemasons: Three Centuries of Building Communities (Tabbert)
- Ancient and Early Medieval Historical Characters in Freemasonry (VanGorden)
- Medieval Historical Characters in Freemasonry (VanGorden)
- Modern Historical Characters in Freemasonry (VanGorden)
- A New Encyclopaedia of Freemasonry (Waite)
- The Meaning of Masonry (Wilmshurst)
Readers are invited and welcomed to add titles to the list that they think should be included in any brother’s private Masonic library. Please be recognized on the Correspondence Page!
